Concussion Physiotherapy
Physiotherapists can evaluate and treat many problems related to concussions. Because no two concussions are the same. Here at Fraser Physiotherapy, our physiotherapists will examine your neurological, orthopaedic, and cardiovascular systems in order to best prescribe a routine to address your particular symptoms and your needs in all of your daily environments.
Massage Therapy
Massage therapy is the manipulation of soft tissues of the body including muscles, connective tissue, tendons, ligaments and joints. Massage therapy is a clinically-oriented healthcare option that helps alleviate the discomfort associated with every day occupational stresses, muscular over-use and many chronic pain conditions.
Pelvic Floor Physiotherapy
Pelvic floor physiotherapy refers to rehabilitation of those muscles which are involved in bowel/bladder function, sexual function and stabilization of the pelvic region in men and women. A Pelvic Floor Physiotherapist is specialized in the assessment and treatment of the pelvic floor muscles. This includes evaluating bladder and bowel habits and reeducation as needed. This specialization is becoming more established in the literature as a first-line of defense against incontinence and pelvic pain. Pelvic health can be impacted by pregnancy, abdominal/pelvic surgeries, traumatic injuries, muscle strain, and postural/hip/low back issues.
Vestibular Physiotherapy
Vestibular rehabilitation therapy (VRT) is an exercise-based treatment program designed to promote vestibular adaptation and substitution. The goals of VRT are 1) to enhance gaze stability, 2) to enhance postural stability, 3) to improve vertigo, and 4) to improve activities of daily living.
